Fashion Blogger and Brand Collaboration

How-to guide for fashion blogging have been around for quite some time. So, after another round of group discussions, we decided that our feature will focus on the business side of the fashion blogging by giving an insight look of the fashion brand's point of view towards fashion blogging. While browsing around the net, I stumbled upon this online publication which was released on April 2012 by iCrossing UK, an online-agency that liaise brands with potential costumer on the web. Featuring UK-based fashion bloggers, the online publication includes not only "how-to" guide of fashion blogging, but also covers other aspect of fashion blogging "behind-the-scenes". 



The online publication also gives a dos and dont's list specifically for fashion brands who are currently considering to work with fashion blogger to promote their product.

There are also interviews with fashion bloggers section, which also gives an insight of how fashion bloggers builds a relationship with PR and social media representatives of fashion brand, and how this leads to a collaboration. This article reveals that fashion bloggers has become a pivotal role in fashion industry nowadays, as their existence offers bigger opportunities for fashion brand to reach more potential customer. This can be an interesting topic that we can explore further in our feature. 


Other interesting things that I found from this publication is the article entitled Can Blogging Be Financially Sustainable?. It discusses how fashion blogger has turned their daytime hobby into an actual career. I've always wondered how fashion blogger make money out of their blog and this article reveals that advertisement, number of traffic and sponsor are the key for fashion bloggers to earn their salary.
